Palazzo Martelli, center of the House-museum Martelli, preserves an art gallery with sculptures, valuable frames and pictures (Piero di Cosimo, Luca Giordano, Domenico Beccafumi and others). The '700 hundred palace was built from the architect Bernardino Ciurini for the senator Marco Martelli. On the facade of the palace there's a shrine that contains a Madonna painted by Mino da Fiesole. The Martelli family was registered at the art of sword and lance and became one of the most eminent and honored in Florence.
